2011 Seattle Seahawks
Pete Carroll is looking to build on his team’s 7-9 record from last season (they became the only team to ever make the playoffs w/a 7-9 record). The team had a high turnout for voluntary workouts during the lockout and QB Matt Hasselbeck looked upon it as a great building of camaraderie. “This year what’s been a positive is the brotherhood of NFL football that has come together,” the QB said before the lockout ended.
The team is now worried about their offensive line as the cornerstone of the line, OT Russell Okung, has again suffered an injury to his ankle, the third time this year. Other early injuries include CB Walter Thurmond (high ankle sprain), WR Mike Williams (sprained toe), DE Red Bryant (offseason knee surgery) and DE Chris Clemons is slated to return in preseason week two.
With a new offensive coordinator, (and a new offense), look for the Seahawks to vie for a stake in the NFC West and for QB Matt Hasselbeck to have a stellar season. |
